Food for Thought

The fact that according to the Congressional Budget Office, that about 1/2 of adults are going to be on food stamps sometime during their lifetime is unacceptable. I think wages should be sustainable enough to feed a person. I understand if there are others, including family members, relying on you for food assistance, in these cases there should be aid available, but to have half of the adult population on food stamps really proves that food prices are too expensive for the average person to live.

Children are greatly affected by food stamp cuts, without these cuts yet, one in five children sometimes don't have enough money to buy food. This angers me extremely, not only because children need food to survive, they need it to focus in school and to go about their every day lives. Children do not have a choice to go to work for food, they are children, they need to have a stable life. What they are eating for there next meal should not be their main concern, they should not have to go to bed hungry.
